Please join the Night & Day duo (Charlene Cochran and Michael Suser) for our presentation on the great Duke Ellington. A major figure in the history of jazz music, Duke Ellington’s career spanned more than half a century, during which time he composed thousands of songs for the stage, screen and contemporary songbook. He created one of the most distinctive ensemble sounds in Western music.

Michael will discuss the Duke’s life and background, and  Charlene will sing his songs with Michael accompanying on piano. This is part of Holiday Park’s excellent “1:00 PM Program”, and is the fourth of our special shows on the Great American Songbook.
